BYD STATEMENT OF SUPPORT TO CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS

BYD North America remains vigilant during this national emergency and we are closely monitoring information and news about the COVID-19 pandemic, caused by coronavirus. We recognize the seriousness of the situation and are evaluating how it affects all of us.

There is nothing more important to us than the health and safety of our employees and their families or the health and safety of our transit partners and suppliers around the United States.

In the United States, BYD will continue to follow all federal, state, and local guidelines to reduce and slow the spread of COVID-19. We have implemented company-wide policies for social distancing, hand-washing, and office hygiene. Additionally, we have restricted visitors to our facilities, suspended all non-essential travel, and implemented isolation procedures for those employees who have recently traveled out of the country.

In the interim we continue to develop resources to support our team and our partners, whether they are working from our factory or at a remote location. Soon, medical masks made at our production facility in Shenzhen, China will be widely available in the United States and elsewhere in the world. The facility is now producing 5 millions masks per day and expects to reach the capacity to make 10 million per day.
